Duo, laptop pose. Mac picture above the 40 pt fold band, deck between the band and the 34 pt home zone. Settings is the Touch ID button right of the strip: tap for the sheet, hold to disconnect.

A Touch Bar with three jobs

The function row is one black glass strip, like the 2016 to 2021 MacBook Pro, with Settings as the Touch ID button beside it. Tap fn to cycle Mac, Shortcuts and F-keys; the three dots on fn show which. Hold fn for the plain F-keys while it is held.

Mac. The default. Brightness (drives the iPhone unless set to Mac), Mission Control, Spotlight, dictation, Do Not Disturb, media, mute, volume.

Shortcuts. Twelve labelled keys, each one editable in Settings.

F1-F12. Plain function keys for apps that want them.

Brightness, expanded. Tap a brightness button and the strip opens into a slider, as the Touch Bar did; × folds it back.

Settings live in the deck

The sheet rises over the keyboard half only, so the Mac stays in view while you change things. Disconnect is the one orange thing on it.

Same deck, rebuilt per screen: the Mac picture keeps its shape at the top, the keyboard keeps every key, the trackpad takes what is left.

Every layout keeps all 78 keys and main rows of at least 40 pt. On the cover screen and the Pro phones the caps are narrow (about 23 to 27 pt), so modifier words drop to their symbols and shortcut keys show only their glyph, as on a small Mac keyboard.
